About Course

This course includes a complete set of practical learning materials designed to help students move beyond theory and actually use NVivo in real qualitative research. The materials are structured to support the full analysis process, from raw data preparation to coding, theme development, querying, visualization, and final reporting. Learners will receive lecture slides and a course handbook to reinforce the main concepts explained in the video lessons. These resources help students review key ideas such as qualitative research design, coding strategies, node development, thematic analysis, memo writing, and result interpretation.

The course also includes several hands-on practice datasets so students can work with realistic qualitative materials instead of only watching demonstrations. These datasets include sample interview transcripts, focus group discussion transcripts, open-ended survey responses, and policy or document analysis files. These materials are used throughout the course to teach students how to import data into NVivo, organize files, create nodes, code text systematically, compare responses, and identify meaningful patterns. Where relevant, multimedia files such as audio, video, or images may also be included so that learners understand how NVivo can be applied beyond plain text documents.
